Pivotal Prospect to make the most of the racing experience at Redcar for the Stan James Is Supporting Barney’s Challenge Selling Stakes
Redcar will stage the Class 6 Stan James Is Supporting Barney’s Challenge Selling Stakes over five furlongs on Monday, 14th May. The race has attracted a line-up of seven three-year and older runners with the prize money for the winner set at £1,704.
The only entry to have raced at Redcar is Pivotal Prospect, Nayef’s four-year-old bay filly out of mare, Buon Amici. She has raced four times through the career with each race at a different venue. The three races that fall into the 2012 season were at Southwell, Redcar and Hamilton.
She ended eighth in the Racing UK On Sky 432 Selling Stakes on 9th April at Redcar over seven furlongs. The winner on the track of twelve was the 4/6 favourite of the race, Zomerlust.
A note worthy entry for the race is Master Of Disguise, Kyllachy’s six-year-old bay gelding out of mare, St James’s Antigua. He has raced four times during the new season with the first three outings at Wolverhampton and the most recent at Doncaster.
He has been extraordinarily consistent in the first three races of the season.
He was the 9/4 joint favourite runner up of the Wolverhampton-Racecourse.Co.UK Selling Stakes on 19th January at Wolverhampton over six furlongs. He was paired up with William Carson.
The winner of the race was Cape Of Storms while the other joint favourite, Tombi, finished third.
His next start of the season saw him winning the Bet At Blue Square Claiming Stakes at Wolverhampton over five furlongs on 27th January. Master Of Disguise was entered as the 5/2 joint favourite and led the runner up, Suddenly Susan, by a length while riding with Russ Kennemore.
The other joint favourite, Where’s Reiley, settled second last on the field of eight.
His third outing of the season was in the Wolverhampton-Racecourse.Co.UK Selling Stakes on 13th February at Wolverhampton over six furlongs. The race was won by Hinton Admiral who led by one and a half length and set the 6/4 favourite entry, Master Of Disguise, second.
The outcome of his race at Doncaster was not impressive at all as he finished seventh on the line-up of thirteen.
Pivotal Prospect has the advantage of the racing experience at the race course even if the result was depressing while Master Of Disguise has stumbled after three very decent races and might just pull up today.
