Pixelated lcd tv picture

Question

I have recently brought a Panasonic tx-32lzd80 lcd tv and must say i am apalled by the picture especially on live broadcasts. The picture is pixelated, grainy and there's also 'ghosting' around players on live games for example. Is there a way of improving this as i am considering returning this tv as it is that bad.
