  4. What the heck are you saying? I hope your not Indian( but I think you are). He is not a dumb bowler. He has bowled so many beauties. Where does your eye go when he does that?

In England he dismissed Kevin Pieterson with a beauty. He has even bowled Sachin Tendulkar out.

  9. He's rushed into the national team too early just like the selectors did with Parthiv Patel & then he fell badly. They should have given him more time to get mature.

  10. i dont think we will ever have a good bowler in our team

we should strengthen our batting more to win matches.

  11. The Team should also gel as a Team too.He fits well. Harbhajan will soon be back.

  12. I have to disagree with you on this one mate.

Firstly, you say we got to see so many good spinners like Powar and Mishra in the IPL. I would like to point out to you that these two, whilst they did bowl well, didn't even make the list of the 10 leading wicket takers in the IPL tournament. Piyush however, came in at fifth on 17 wickets. The only bowlers ranked higher than him were Sohail Tanvir (22 wickets), Shane Warne (19 wickets), Shanthakumaran Sreesanth (19 wickets) and Shane Watson (also 17 wickets).

I don't know how you can say he is a dumb baller. He has a lot of skill as can be seen not only through the number of wickets he takes, but also the big players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood etc. I would say that the only area in which he can improve would be his consistency. Don't forget, he is only 19 years of age and, depending on the pitch, he will not always be guaranteed wickets due to being a spinner.

Overall, I think Piyush is doing fantastically for Team India. We saw evidence of this when he took four wickets for forty runs last week against Pakistan. He is very deserving of his place in the side, and I believe he will become more and more consistent with each international game he plays. In my opinion, he is a fantastic talent.

  13. he deserves but only thing he had to perform well in pressure situatn which he always bubles..............

  14. Sunil Gavaskar has pinned a lot of hope on Chawla, and Sunny is no idiot, right? Let's wait and see. If we keep dropping new players, Indian cricket will end up having a Dad's Army for a team.

  15. Yes he deserves a place in the team !

I can't seem to understand the so called experts roaming around here, who were on top of the world when India beat Pakistan in the league match and were full of praises for Chawla when he got 4 wickets ... Today all of a sudden his presence in the team is being questioned ?
