Bayern Munich’s latest signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Claudio-Pizarro-c9324 revealed that he is unfazed by the competition for places at his new club and wants to help them win trophies in the forthcoming season.
The striker joined Bayern Munich from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee. This would be his second spell with the Bavarian giants. The last time he played for Bayern, the striker had an impressive scoring record as he racked up 71 goals in 174 appearances.
He left FCB for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 after his contract expired at the Munich club. The player is a respected figure in German football; he has a total of 134 goals in Bundesliga, and was awarded with the highest-scoring foreign player award.
In his second spell at Werder Bremen, Pizarro maintained his impressive goal scoring record in the Bundesliga. The player won the domestic double with Bayern Munich three times previously.
After the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivica-Olic-c17399, Jupp Heynckes decided to give the former Die Roten striker a chance to replace the Croatian. The Peruvian international jumped at the chance of signing for his former club.
The former Werder Bremen player revealed this time around that he is looking to win everything he can. He wants the club to get over the disappointment of losing out on three trophies by winning every competition they are in.
Pizarro revealed that he knows almost everyone at the club and feels at home, and claimed Bayern are the best club he has played for.
"I want to win everything – everything that there is, that is the aim. Bayern is the best club I have ever been at," he is quoted as saying in an interview.
The Munich club recently signed Mario Mandzukic from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 and already have Mario Gomez in their ranks. The 33-year old is aware of the competition for places at the Bavarian club and revealed he is no stranger to it.
During his previous spell at the club back in 2001, Bayern had five strikers and he managed to start many games ahead of them.
"But competition for places is normal" he said on the club's website. "You have that in every club. Back then [in 2001], we were five strikers so it was much more difficult," he added.
Pizarro will give the club depth in the attacking department. Considering Mario Gomez’s unpredictable form, the 33-year old’s signing will come in handy.
