Plíšková sisters reign on Kachliková/
Tvarošková in 1st round – Slovak Open 2011
Top seeded Czech sisters Karolína Plíšková with Kristýna Plíšková dominated Slovakian couple Katarina Kachliková with Lenka Tvarošková in the first round of the Slovak Open 2011.
The two squads had taken up the challenge on indoor hard courts of the Národné Tenisové Centrum in Bratislava, Slovakia and it took the top seeded Czech sisters only thirty eight minutes to prevail over the Slovakian couple by
trouncing them in straight sets of 6-0, 6-3 on Tuesday the 15th of November 2011.
Both the sets were subjugated by the top seeded Plíšková sisters and overall in the match they had struck two double faults but also smashed two aces. Nonetheless, they had an excellent service game which assisted them in attaining
a walloping 72 percent of their total service points and with an above average return; they were able to clog 57 percent of their total return points.
In addition, the top seeded duo managed to save two out of three breakpoints while, the Slovakian couple was only able to save a 55 percent of their breakpoints. Moreover, by capitalizing on 45 percent of breakpoints won, the top
seeded pair bagged the match with a 65 percent of total points won overall in the match.
Nonetheless, opening the first round was the Slovenian couple and they had gotten off to a bad start as they endorsed three games to their adversaries. The opening set was a complete flawless victory for the Plíšková sisters as
they not only bagged their service games but also took on an assertive style of play that allowed them to bag all their opponent’s service games!
The Plíšková sisters had hit 92 percent of their first serves on target and achieved a hundred percent of both their first and second service points won. Moreover, they had an exceptional return that assisted them in attaining
an amazing 71 percent of total return points won and with a defence as strong as an ox, they accomplished to bag the opening set with five times the total set points won as the Slovakian couple!
After being totally humiliated the Slovakian couple made a return by bagging three games in the second set. Commencing the second set of the match was the top seeded pair and this time both the squads held their respective serves
to place themselves on the scoreboard at 1-1.
However, in the fourth and the fifth game the two broke each other one after the other and the score had progressed to 3-2 with the Plíšková, sisters leading the set.
During the last two games Kachliková/ Tvarošková double faulted on their serves to gift away an important game to the top seeded duo. Serve switched, as the top seeded Czech sisters held their serve for the last time, they sealed
their victory of the set and the match.
They will now be facing another Slovakian couple of Jana Čepelová along with Janette Husárová.
