Pl. give tips on how to get my 15 yr. son's interest back in studies?

He lost interest in studies about 4 yrs. back since he failed a yr. eversince then it has been quite a task & arguments at home. Pl.help

plz don't worry. the best way is 2 ask him 2 do PRANAYAMS. i think it realy helps. and another thing he should b get 2 know the problems, which he is going 2 face in future if he doesnot study??

also say 2 him tat 2 4get the past n think of a new future 4 himself

to gain interest back in studies, remove all the entertaining things around him like television, computer , music system , play station etc. tell him to read a book a weak and then tell  him to tell you the story in brief. take him to museum. don't allow him to rome with his friend quite often. tell him to write an easy everyday, and don't be like a mouse in the house , your 15 year old son is arguing in the house and you are doing nothing . if you remove all entertaining things believe me he will study because he will get boar ed and the best way to pass the time is to read books or write an easy or letter or learn . my brother was once like your son but my parents did the above things and now he is completely change

take away everything reqarding- tv, internet, playstation, etc.  Have a long talk with him about getting discouraged (though since it had been 4 years, he should have gotten over it a long time ago!).  No more allowance.  If that doesn't work, remind hjim that he turns 18 in a few short years, and mommy and daddy won't let him stay unless he does well in school/goes to college.

If all else fails, he's never too old for a good ole` spanking with the belt.

Find a fun way to study that will help or  if he wants to become someone important when he goes to college then tell him that the only way he can finish college is if he studies the way he is supposed to.

are you scolding him? weLL if yes don't be too harsh 'coz it is what we teenagers hate about! being scolded and being pressured. you need to talk to him personally. i think he needs someone to talk with his problems. as you have said that he lost interest about studying after failing a year, weLL maybe it affected him so much and have you approached him and asked the reason why he failed in A NICE WAY? weLL if not. that's a bad news. maybe he lost interest because he thinks that no one cares about him. Sir, all you need to do is to have a bonding together, quality time, talk about things and problems, all of us teenagers like to share things especially to our parents, like ur son i'm 15 yrs old and i understand him.

YOU NEED TO HAVE AN "OPEN COMMUNICATION". that is the most effective way(for me) in making a child's interest back. NEVER trade on something. you might regret it someday.

BE FRIEND him and pay him interest.
