we recently purchased a flat & are eager to do the interiors now. can anyone pl suggest the best kind of wood for home interiors? & why?

You need to give more explanation in your question. Is this wood needed for doors, walls, floors, cupboards????

A hard wood because it is hard like oak.  But if you like dark colors, then you have to pick out something you like.
