If you want to take public transport..

Take a train or bus or flight from Hyderabad to Bangalore. (520km) and take a bus or taxi from Bangalore to Coorg (250km).

Or you can drive all the way, the Hyderabad-Bangalore route is described in the first source. Bangalore to Coorg is through Mysore-Hunsur or through Hassan - Gorur - Kushal Nagar.

the best way is to fly to bangalore from hyderabad & then hire a cab or take the KSRTC bus to coorg. there are good volvo buses available to coorg.
