About 6 years ago I travelled from England through the Channel Tunnel to France. Then we took a coach to somewhere. I think it begins with L, but I can't remember. What the nearest places beginning with L near the French entrance to the tunnel?

  1. The Eurostar line, which provides the transportation between London and France via the Channel Tunnel has a stop in Lille, that may be what you're thinking of.

  2. it could have been le havre travelling west down the coast from calais roy the thicko

  3. Perhaps is Lille, the city near the border with Belgium.

  4. The french (little) town just close to the beginning of the tunnel is Coquelles.

It doesn't begin by L, mais the L sound is in it....

Because I did this way by car last week and I don't see other towns beginning by L : Calais, Boulogne, then Abbeville, Amiens... unless you went to Lille the big town in the north of France.
