stop working due to extraterrestrial activity, supposidly

anyone know what its called? i think its a road but i'm not sure.

You're probably referring to La Zona del Silencio (the Zone of Silence) an area in the desert of the state of Durango.There are many stories,even songs have been written, about strange things that happen within the "Zone".
