Place to live for two months?

Question

I need a place to live for two months until I start college at the end of August. Does anyone have any ideas other than finding a month to month rental apartment? There are not that many places that rent month to month where I live so it would be difficult to stay in one.

Are there long term hotel rooms you can get or something?

Any ideas??

Many motels do offer weekly rates that should get you through for 2 months-particularly the ones away from main highways.  I'd try that.  You could also check the local paper for rooms to rent, but that's not my favorite idea.  You never know what you're getting into.
