Placepots joint favourites?

i have done a placepot at newmarket. my original horse was a non runner. there was 2 favourites but only one was placed. is my placepot still valid?

  1. They may be right above,but, I always thought that if there were joint favourites then the stakes were split between the two so you would have 50% of the pot!!


  2. Non Runner = Favourite

    Joint Favourite = Lowest Racecard Number

  3. if your selection  was a non runner the wager is placed on the favourite

    if there is no out right favourite IE joint favourites the wager is then place on the race card number IE if 1 favourite is number 4 and the other is number 7  the wager would be placed on number 4

    if you look on back of the placepot slip it tells you

  4. If there is two or more favourites your money goes onto the top weight. Lowest number.
