Places for a learner driver to begin practising?

Question

Does anyone have any suggestions to where a learner driver could start to practice driving, preferably with not too much traffic?

The cemetery is a great place to learn how to drive. Has a lot a turns and hardly any traffic. Just don't crash!!!

yea the back roads or old dirt roads and yes the wal mart late at night when the store is slow or closed

Around your block and neighborhood is usually a good place to start then after you can further out on to bigger streets once you become good and ready.

in an empty or almost empty parking lot...

I learned on back roads where there is not a lot of traffic, and pretty large shoulders, so I could easily pull over and let people pass.  My first time driving, I pulled over to let an elderly couple pass me (haha) because I was nervous.  They stopped and asked if my car was OK.  It was pretty funny.
