I will hopefully be driving back to Manzanillo sometime in Dec. or Jan. and will be going through Guadalajara(spent 3 days there this April, what a beautiful city) and am lookin for bars or restaurants that have live music geared towards the Americans/Canadians or students of the university living/staying there.

I am a musician and play a lot of Texas singer/songwiter stuff. Robert Earl Keen, Jack Ingram, Hayes Carll, Todd Snider, Jimmy Buffett etc. etc. Any help out there would be appreciated. Mexico and it's people are about as nice as it gets, in my opinion, Adios, ol' Puddin'head

  1. This is a good one, Look Puddin'head, there is tons of good bars and restaurants that have live music, and pretty sure that

they allow you to play over their place.

But i really doubt about the audience you want to get, even when

there is a lot of american people they have to know about it, the place and time, and i can see you got a pretty short schedule

    to make this work.

But anywas, go head, you are gonna get audience anyways.

everyone loves to see somebody playing and singing even in the downtown streets.

  2. Look just ask around to people your own age group and I'm sure you will find more than enough, especially in Guadalajara!

If you want to hear some great Mexican-Mariachi style, Jalisco is the birthplace of the modern Mariachis! Just head over to the plaza in the suburb of Tlaquepaque, the Mariachis are playing every evening...
