Places in southern California?

Question

Okay I need a place to go we can't go to the beach because my freaking medicine said no sun so I can't be outside were long were are there places to go in Southern California and (no discovery center or malls no shopping involved THANKS!!!)

If you like art, going to the movies, clubs, concerts, coffee houses, bars, watching plays or musicals you're in luck.

There are hundreds of different places you can go to if any of that interests you.

Several of the coastal towns have concerts or Shakespeare By the Sea after the sun goes down. For that matter, quite a few of the museums stay open late (usually midnight) 1 night a week and have concerts. They are very popular.

Look in the weekend guide sections of the OC Register or LA times. You can also pick up an OC Weekly or LA Weekly for free at 7-11 and look in their events section.

I believe The Orange County Fair (in Costa Mesa) is going on right now... Most of it will be out in the sun but if you stick to the expo's and shows (indoors) you should still have fun. Otherwise besides beaches and shopping there really isn't much.

well since you dont want to do any shopping you're pretty much screwed.... unless you stay home and watch movies all day or maybe go to the park but stay in the shade. hope this helps.

You can go to one of the museums in the mid-Wilshire area - the best being LACMA - Los Angeles County Museum of Art. If you don't want to do the "cultural" thing, go bowling. I had such a bad opinion of bowling alleys and people that frequent them. How WRONG I was! I had a fabulous time and met some really fun people. It's actually pretty cheap if you go during off-peak hours. There are usually matinees for some of our ongoing plays - check out places like the Egyptian, and the Pantages.

And if you are under 21 , you can still go to some of the clubs around here that only allow people under 21 to come (:

Me and my friends always go and it's really fun because you get free bootie shorts if you're a girl and stuff .
