  1. If money is really not an issue, then you can live in Covent Garden. Expect to pay upwards of £200 a week for a studio, and upwards of £500 a week for a one bedroom flat. The postcode is WC2.

Nearby Bloomsbury is a nice place to live. This includes the areas around Goodge Street, Russell Square, Warren Street, Tottenham Court Road, etc. Transport links are great and it's a safe, busy central area. There are hundreds of students around because a lot of the University of London campuses are located there. You would also be near Piccadilly, Soho and Leicester Square for good nightlife. Postcodes: W1, WC1.

You might also consider Clerkenwell, which covers the areas of Farringdon, Barbican, etc. Postcode: EC1. These are smart city areas with lots of media types, great restaurants, and cool nightlife in nearby Shoreditch.

Slightly further out are Hampstead, Chalk Farm and Belsize Park - all nice affluent areas with good transport to Covent Garden (straight through on the Northern Line). Also look at Marylebone. Postcodes: NW1, NW3.

    Enjoy studying in London :)

  2. My favourite French restaurant in Covent Garden.
