  1. Bear in mind that February in Australia is mid summer. It will be very hot in the northern parts, and in the central desert area. At that time of the year I would prefer the southern parts. Tasmania is beautiful but often neglected, check it out.

  2. Where ever you go, basically you are going to be warm to hot, some days so hot you'll forget your middle name.  Bring appropriate clothing and do what the locals do, seek air conditioning in the middle of the day and have crisp cold beers and cold fresh peeled prawns and plenty of ice in the freezer.  Wear a hat and sunblock and sunglasses everywhere or you will regret it.

  3. what sort of weather do you like? hot, warm, or mild? the further north the hotter, the heat is also 'sticky' Sydney is good in feb, so is queensland, as a matter of fact its all good - enjoy

  4. Australia is HUGE, so you've got lots of choices.  It'll be warm wherever you go.  So much depends on how long you are going for and how far you're prepared to travel within Australia. Perth and Freemantle are lovely, Sydney is fascinating, the great barrier reef - amazing, Alice Springs and Ularu -awesome.  Explore the travel mags, count your pennies and enjoy.

  5. Congratulations on picking the hottest time to visit. If you like humid heat ( appprox 26 degree C ) go for North Eastern Australia ie. Brisbane or higher up the country.Or if you like dry heat ( 35-45 degree c ) go south ie. South Australia-Adelaide ( 82 wineries ) or Cooper Pedy ( Opals and you can stay in an underground hotel). If you get the chance go on an Outback Astronomy trip- crystal clear skies midnight BBQ in the bush.  Or if you are really lucky and you are at Ayer's Rock , it will rain and the rock changes from red to blue ( chemical reaction in the stone, it always changes back though).

    Bon voyage.

  6. Cairns, Sydney and Melbourne would be great places to go at that time of the year, have a great trip, Australia is one fantastic country and I can't wait to go back again myself in 2010.
