  1. Go online and chat with baliagung_tours via yahoo messenger. He'll rent a car with a very affordable price and also a comfort car.. He's Balinese and very friendly, he'll take you to many wonderful places and he has many access to follow many tradition procession or ritual of Bali people.

  2. Which kind of are you like to stay.

For crowded ( Mostly tourist come in ) I recomend to stay at Kuta area, on this area you may enjoy for swim and surving on the beach ( Hard Rock Hotel and Restaurant ), Sahid Hotel, Harris Hotel, Ascot etc. You may enjoy the night until drop on the night.

For quite are you may stay at Benoa or Nusa Dua ( Mostly International Chain Hotel placed  in this area ). There's no recomended to swim or surf on this area, but you may enjoy for sport water ( Jetski, Flying Fish, Snorkling, Banana boat, etc ).

For farm area you may stay at Ubud ( Not much activity ) on this area and mostly people searching for painting, art etc.

Rent a car about IDR 250 thousand / day ( without driver ) or plus IDR 100 thousand with driver ( Approx 40 USD / day )

Hope it may help...and welcome to Bali - Indonesia.

    Let's enjoy

  3. This is what my sister did when she travelled to Bali with her husband and 3 kids (ages 1-7).

    - They stayed at the Conrad, good sized hotel, good pool scene and very competitive price.  The kids had a lot of fun hanging around the pool.

    - Bali Safari Marine Park, there are plenty of wild animals here such as the lions and tigers.  And since they were just opened last year, the place is very clean and not too crazy crowded.

    - Ride the elephants at the Bali Elephant Park.  I actually did this myself and found it to be quite the experience.  The ride was about 20 minutes long, travelling through some rice paddies (not in paddies themselves) and into the pond that the elephants use to shower (but the water looked kinda questionable).

    - Walking through Kuta, lots of shops and restaurants there for chilling.

    -  My sister didn't do this, but this is a pretty popular spot, the Waterbom Bali, for waterpark and slides.

    - My sister also didn't do this, but if your kids love monkeys, you might want to try the Monkey Forest in Ubud.  Be warned though, Balinese monkeys are pretty wild, some have been known to steal sunglasses, cameras, hats from visitors.  If your kid scares easily, this place might not be the best idea.

My sister and her family enjoyed their trip so much that they are going again this Lebaran holiday.

  4. Please check at below my webs!!!

    Cheers

  5. for a quiet, clean, sandy beach with not too many waves>>>

SANUR Beach. This beach has been completely redone by the Japanese and has a stretch of very calm sea between the beach and the reef where the sea is not too deep, clean and quite. In late afternoon, you can see the local fishermen walking into the sea, carrying their fishing rods & local reed back-pack baskets up to the reef and they are still only waist deep in the water. You can admire their evening catch = their dinner. Behind and over the reef, you can admire the surfers, kite-surfers.

From here you can go to

    -the Marine Safari Park

    -the aquarium

    -the zoo

-Ubud = big village known for its artists, shops, royal palace and traditional houses hidden in little side alleys, cafés & restaurants, its monkey forest...where you can actually see and nearly touch the monkeys (don't..I just mean to say that they do come next to you or your car for peanuts).

All these attractions are about 30 to 45 minutes drive and are really fun for the little ones and quite reasonably priced.

otherwise : Seminiyak Beach, Legian Beach.

    Hope this helps.

    Enjoy your holidays.
