Places to go in New Jersey if you're a teen?

So our semi-formal dance got canceled, and I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas as to where we could go as a second option, just us teens? Like, it won't be all of us, but we wanted a place where we can still dress semi-formally and not have to plan out the whole extravaganza.

hey girl, sorry to hear it got canceled that really sucks.  it is kinda of cold now, so i would have suggested an outside gazebo or a spacious pretty dock area because they are free.  But if you and your crew want to stay warm I would recommend going to local restaurants and renting a room or hall whatever they call it.  Sometimes churches will rent out space as well, but it's probably  boring there.  Maybe someone's parents will be willing to throw something together?!  People are always wanting to rent things out to make money you would be surprised.  Hit up the local phone book or go to google and that will give you a directory!!! good luck girl.  i'm from nj and i know there isn't much to do around here if it isn't summer time. g/l <3

the shore.

i went there after prom, and we played frisbee on the beach and lit firecrackers at 3 in the morning.

plus the next day you can chill on the boardwalk.

all night diners could be really fun too,

and there's always the city.

I've grown up in both New York City and its suburbs in Jersey, and I don't really know what you are planning to do here. If you want to have a nice dinner, that can be easily found, but in terms of activity there isn't much. You could go to a nice restaurant: many places in Englewood, New Jersey and mill about the town.
