Places to go?

I am trying to decide where to go this winter. Somewhere relatively cheap and not in Midwest or the east coast. On the west coast or over seas would be good. I kind of like colder places. Any suggestions?

  1. Russia, Poland, Ireland, or Italy

  2. Canada also if you like alot of winter snow poarts (Like ice skating, skiing & snow mobiling) then New Hampshire is perfect. I went there last winter. I live in MA though.

  3. You should go to California.. you could go skiing at Mammoth Mt. or Big Bear Mt. & if you got tired of that... go to the beach or go to Disney Land & Knotts Berry Farm! :o)

  4. Try Canada...... It's beautiful.  Not sure what the exchange rate is right now, but I know in the past it's always been a great place to travel because you get more for your money.  Enjoy

  5. Teton sciens school

  6. A bit hard to know what to suggest without knowing more about your interests, but you could try Lake Louise, Alberta (stay in Canadian Alpine Centre for ~$30 per person) if you like either cross-country or downhill skiing, or even more extreme winter sports like ice climbing.  Hotels not cheap, however.

Check out Sovereign Lakes, at Vernon, BC.  Fabulous network of cross-country ski trails, also close to Silver Star downhill ski area.  Less expensive than Whistler or Banff.

    Have fun!

If you like big cities, then it would be hard to go wrong visiting Vancouver.  Although Whistler ski resort is expensive, it's close enough to Vancouver that you could stay in Vancouver and catch day trips by bus to the ski hill.  There are smaller ski hills within greater Vancouver, but they don't offer nearly as much as Whistler-Blackcomb.  Visit the BC Museum of Anthropology at the University of BC campus for a sampling of the amazing traditions and history of the coastal aboriginal peoples.

  7. If you like winter sports Colorado is great
