Places to live in England?

Question

Hey everyone... My partner and I are planning to move over to England and we'd like to know of some nice places to live.

We're looking for more of a small town, cottages, little farms, quiet but pretty, maybe near the ocean...

Something like that.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!

Joe, sorry to tell you this but unless you have a skill that is in high demand in the UK, you cannot just up sticks and move to the UK without a work offer nowadays, unless you are from the EU, or work for an American company that is transferring you here. It works both ways, we can't just turn up in the States and expect to get a job either.

BTW

The UK consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.  The Republic of Ireland is not in the UK but is part of the EU and may have the same restrictions in place.
