  1. There is a lot of things that you might want to see in Montreal, it really depends on your interests!

If you have an interest in religion then you might want to visit Saint Joseph's Oratory.  It's dedicated to a man, Brother Andre who they say performed miracles of turning the sick well.  In fact, his church is there and when you walk in there are crutches lining the walls that are supposed to be all the people he cured.  Also, his tomb and heart are there, in the oratory as well.  If religion is your thing then you might want to check out the churches scattered downtown.  If not for the spiritual aspect, at least for the architectual factor.

If that's really not your thing, you might want to check out the Biodome, planetarium, the botanical gardens and the insectarium.

the Biodome let's you explore different kinds of forrests and temperatures.  When you walk into the rainforest section, the humidity hits you like a brick!  There are animals but nothing like the zoo.

The Planetarium is a place where the whole domed ceiling is like looking up at stars while they present you shows about anything that has to do with space.  Very interesting.

The botanical gardens is exactly what it sounds like.  Plants, trees...nothing much more to say about that.

The insectarium is a museum about bugs.  they have a ton of bug displays.  If you aren't squeemish, you might even want to consider eating a chocolate covered cricket!

Okay, so that not your thing either?  Maybe the underground malls might be your thing.  5 malls interconected underground.  very amazing and if your a shopper, that's probably where you will want to be.

Montreal is a beautiful city.  There is China town that is worth checking out (although very small if you consider New York's China town)  the old port is always fun.  It's beautiful and seems to be the place all the tourists end up in.

Food?  Well, you can't come to montreal without going to Schwartz's for some smoked meat.  Don't let the line up outside discourage you.  There is a line up for a reason...

More into the nightlife?  well, i have to admit, i'm not to 'hip' on the nightlife scene anymore.  The only places my friends end up is Pang Pang Kareoke which is a japanese inspired kareoke place.  Private rooms so no embaressment in front of strangers.  My favorite place to go to party with friends is the GoGo Lounge.  It has music from the 80's and 90's and the crowd is more my age (25-30ish)  there is nothing worse than walking into a club and being surrounded by 16 year olds...

Anyway, hope this helped...Happy Travelling, and if you have any questions you can send me a message.
