Places to stay outside of Thredbo, Charlottes Pass, Perisher etc.?

Its too expensive to stay directly at the snow with my family, we usually stay at Canberra & drive in but i was wondering if there is anywhere thats abit closer between Canberra & the snow fields....

Jindabyne offers a wide range of accommodation styles and prices. I would suggest starting there. You could also look at Cooma and what it also has to offer. Both are great little towns and have just as much to offer, if not more than the actual village resorts. Good luck and happy skiing!
