Places to take a German exchange student?

My family will be hosting a German echange student for one month. What kinds of things should we do and where should we go? not specific locations, but activities that would make her stay in america more fun.

I suggest looking at your cities visitors guide online and look for events that will be taking place during the time your visitor is around.  Become a tourist in your own town, pretend like you have never been there before and think about what you would find interesting.

You should do things such as visit parks, musueums, libraries. Take him/her to one of the local malls and show him/her what the clothes and style is like in america. Visit restuarants...etc.
