Places to take kids under 8?

Question

We have three kids 8,5,1 and will be staying in Villafranche May 29-June 6th. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Apart from the obvious, which is the beach, you could consider a visit for part of a day to Monaco.  The Musée de Océanographique and Aquarium would be of interest to an 8-year old and a 5-year old child, even if they would not get everything out of it that an adult would.  The Royal Palace and the quaint layout of the older parts might appeal to them.  A guide to local restaurants would point you in the direction of some affordable restaurants that have children in mind.

Carcasonne ! The coolest place ever, I went there last summer it was truly a cool place. If I were 8 I would have a blast in the castle. There is this huge castle and a haunted house (not recommended ..i cried in fear)

moore is right but it's 500 miles away from Provence...

In provence you'll find MARINELAND (the city its is in is ANTIBES) which is a place where you ll see seals, dolphins and a huge aquarium... it is very nice, you ll see shows...

and then the coast is great in summer, don't worry, go to the closest OFFICE DU TOURISME and ask, they will give you all the informations you need.
