  1. well ive been to italy but never france.

i spent 2 weeks in italy and went to every "tourist"city and it was constent traveling. very fun but always on the go.

favorites were: Tuscany, Venice, Rome, and Pompeii

    Enjoy your trip =]

  2. Oh man, the list can go on and on. You should get a travel guide book--they'll give you pleanty of information from the tourist spots to prices and accomidations.

It all depends on WHERE you're going in both areas.

For instance, in Italy, which cities? I suggest Florence, Rome, Venice, and Milan. Oh, and make a quick getaway to Pisa just to see the tower. Each city has its own Duomo (massive church) and they're all beautiful and HUGE. You can go to the top in most and see the view. The museums are essential to see in all cities, but some you should reserve in advance (esp in Milan to see The Last Supper). Go early to museums.

As for France, i've only been to Paris. See Notre Dame and the tower for sure. Other than that--it's up to you.

    Enjoy!

  3. 10 days doesn't give you a lot of time for 2 countries.  Does the 10 days include your time getting there?  If you want both countries, I suggest sticking to 2 main cities.  You could do Paris and either Rome, Florence or Venice.  Once you choose where you'll go, then you can work on all the details like transportation and sightseeing.
