  1. Take a tour of the Tower of London if you're interested in history. That was actually the best "event" I went to on my trip to London.

  2. So you've got visits planned to the London Dungeons (the "scary place", =D) and the Tower Bridge Experience -- London Bridge is a different bridge (and nothing particularly special, either).

Both these are down in the old City of London (what used to be the medieval walled city) and are pretty close together.

So it makes sense for you to find other things to do that are in that part of town, rather than spend your precious time travelling.

The Tower of London (begun in around 1070, by William the Conqueror) is just beside the Thames by Tower Bridge. It's an amazing place to visit. The Crown Jewels are kept there, so that's one fab tour; then there's all the gory history (the Tower is where high-ranking and royal prisoners were kept -- Ann Boleyn, Lady Jane Gray ("queen for nine days") and Mary Queen of Scots were just three of the famous people beheaded here.

Join one of the tours led by the fantastically costumed Yeomen Warders (known as "Beefeaters") -- they know how to tell a good tale and it really brings history to life.

Another easy idea is to take a Thames river cruise. If the weather's good, this is a great way to see some of London's best known landmarks.

City Cruises has a boarding point very near the London Dungeons and Tower Bridge -- "Tower Pier". You can buy tickets for their cruises online, including a hop-on, hop-off pass, which would give you lots of flexibility as to how far you go. From Tower Pier, you have two main choices: go downstream (east) towards Greenwich and the Thames Barrier, or upstream (west) towards Westminster (the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben) and the London Eye.

If you choose the westbound route, you could hop off at Waterloo Pier and take a trip on the London Eye, a huge sightseeing wheel with some of the best views in town. If you do this, make sure you pre-book a Fast Track ticket. More info here: http://www.londoneye.com/

Other suggestions near where you'll be...

Take a tour of Shakespeare's Globe theatre (an amazing replica of the original thatched open-air theatre that Will Shakespeare would have known).

Visit one of the old pubs overlooking the Thames. There are several that are hundreds of years old, including one where the Pilgrim Fathers moored the Mayflower (the pub at that time was called "The Ship", but is now "the Mayflower"). I also like taking visitors to eat at the Prospect of Whitby, one of London's very oldest pubs (1520). More info here on its history... http://www.londontown.com/LondonInformat...

Well, that gets you off to a good start, I hope.

Hope you have a great time -- love from a Londoner born and bred. =D
