Places to visit in NEW JERSEY and nearby areas

Hi,

I will be traveling to the US (Jersey City,NJ) for a period of 2 months from India. It will be an official visit however, I have the weekends for me. I have a very limited budget and would like help in knowing some places in the city and the vicinity to visit. Also, what kind of transportation should I take if I don't have enough money? A little help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Atlantic City! It's the best! but, it's pretty far from where you're staying though. Have you thought about going to NYC, that's pretty close to Jersey City.
