Have been to many places but would recommend:

Cork and the ring of Kerry

Connemara National Park - Galway, Westport  and Achil Island.

Don't forget the north either.

besides all previously mentioned places (Dublin, Cork, Galway and Cliffs of Moher, etc.), I'd suggest Cobh - a small picturesque town near Cork with an interesting history, great memorial museum, beautiful cathedral, those beautiful narrow streets and colorful houses... it's like in  a fairytale :)

also, visit lake Glendalough in Wicklow Co. and Mizen Head (the most southwestern point of Ireland)....

Well, if you ask me, wherever you go - you'll have the best time ever!

I'd say Cork city and Blarney in Co Cork because I'm from this part of Ireland (Co Cork) but there are many beautiful parts of the country - West Cork (my mum reckons Princess Diana might still be with us if she had gone there for her last trip abroad instead of Paris) including Garnish Island, the Dingle Peninsula in Co Kerry, Kilkee in Co Clare (the Horseshoe Strand is absolutely beautiful), the Aran Islands in Co Galway, Kinsale in Co Cork, Garryvoe in east Co Cork (another lovely beach), Midleton in east Co Cork (distillery museum and two golf courses close by), Giant's Causeway in Co Antrim (and it is near the distillery in Bushmills). Hope this gives you some ideas.

There are so many beautiful places to visit. It depends what you are interested in. Dublin, Cork and Galway are the chief cities worth visiting. There are lots of castles, abbeys, ruins and monasteries around the country. we also have 4 national parks, one in each province. There are plenty of lakes, gardens, woods and forests and lots of historic houses too. Look at the following websites for ideas:

Enniskillen is nice but there is no doughnut shop there now.Good if you like boating,fishing and shopping with U K money. Go to Dublin,Cork or Galway for good city life and take plenty of Euro with you.

I used to live in Ireland and there are some fantastic places. Personally I love Northern Ireland. Enniskillen is a wonderful place because people are friendly and there are great doughnut shops everywhere!

I think presonally to visit Dublin. With a short drive you can go from countryside to city and it's along the coast with great beaches and plenty to do for all ages!

Ring of Kerry - beautiful scenery, good long drive.

Waterford

Wexford

Northern Ireland,  park of the UK, to visit too-

Belfast

Giants Causeway, County Antrim NI - astounding rock formation, at the coast.

Spend time away from major tourist sites too, just soaking up the atmosphere etc.
