  1. 11?Are you freaking kidding me?You need to stay home and read a book...

EDIT:Do you have any idea what raves are like? The drugs and alcohol that you are exposed to.With all of the temptation trust me dancing is the last thing you will be doing.

EDIT #2:What makes you think that if she has the opportunity she won't go for it?That's your opinion. When your in the moment common sense goes out the window....

EDIT #3:Ha!I find that hard to believe, sounds more like a sad attempt to be her.

  2. um no one is going to let in an 11 year old even if they look 14, because no one is going to let in a 14 year old. wait a couple years. raves aren't all they are cracked up to be.

  3. The word "rave" has been widely known to imply drug us although this is no longer the case as most "raves" today do not permit the use of controlled substances while most people who listen to music normally played at raves feel there is no longer a need to use drugs. The scene has come a long way. Many raves today are very exclusive. Almost everyone knows each other and it's a very friendly environment. Ravers today are more responsible. Tell the guy offering you MDMA that you're under age and he'll shy away from you. In a true rave, you should be able to say no and the dealer backs off with no hard feelings. Why you ask? Everyone knows who the distributor in the clubs are, and usually there are very few. So if a kid gets admitted to the hospital with mydriasis, dilated pupils and excessive euphoria among other side effects, those distributors will take the blame and go straight to the federal penitentiary. I started raving at 15 with a pass around my neck saying I was under age so they couldn't serve me alcohol (that being said, I spent most of my time behind the decks). Many raves are also held in warehouses or garages supervised by parents or school officials. To get into these raves you have to know people who can get you in or you may be prohibited from entering anyway due to the drinking age restrictions in the US. I am not aware of any special permissions pass in San Diego. That's not to say there aren't 18 and under parties.

Raving is not about drugs, gangs, or whatever misconceptions people have about them. It's a friendly environment to hang out with people you know and, most of the time, pretty much only people you know. You can organize you own rave if you have the resources and charge a small cover at the door. It is my experience though, that raves are difficult to organize in schools as school officials or even parents who know absolutely nothing about it are scared to bowel movement over the thought of kids raving.
