Plaese help i think my computer is going to break!!

Question

well my old laptop had all protection on it virus protection and everything but i broke the wire to plug it in and i havent got round to getting a new one..i cant seem to find one anywhere..but anyway i have been using a spare laptop in the house..(no clue where it came from) my mum says it is one of her ex's well i dont think it has any virus stuf on it..and i have been using limewire on it...has it probebly got a virus..what should i do?? is there free virus protection available on the internet?? should i delete limewire..if so are there any other free music downloading programmes?? please give me some avice on this i am not very good with computers really?

a program called avg anti virus this is the free trial version link it works pretty well for a while but like all free software its not the best to be fair.

this is a free firewall trial software again works well but runs out after a month. regarding limewire i would set up a downloads folder on your computer and scan it with your virus software before you open it that way you ll be warned in advance. limewire is a good program as long as your careful with what you download sometimes its disguised but you ll soon be able to see the signs of a virus or malicious software. The programs i ve pointed you two are only a stop gap measure until you buy some better virus scanning software. personally i d recommend "mac afee" as i ve been using it for years and it hasn't let me down so far. anything else you need to know email me or something

I agree with my life, AVG is a great free virus scanner. You can easily of got a virus from limewire. I suggest before downloading anything from limewire you should have a realtime virus scanner in place. Any kind of P2P program you are opening yourself up for virii or spyware, malware, etc.

Deleting Limewire won't do anything, you have to uninstall it..also I don't get the first part of your question, but AVG is good antivirus.
