In terms of Visual Art, is it considered plagiarism when you pull inspiration from another work, reference another work, use ideas from another work, or utilize another art work's style to create your own?

  1. IF you do it well than no. If not than yes.


  2. No it is not. If you are copying or faking, there are issues. If you're taking ideas and interpreting or reusing or expanding on them them, visual arts aren't the same as written work because each piece is a separate object. Using another painter's concept won't pretend to the viewer that another's work is yours.
