Plain Kraft Mac 'N Cheese... what can I add to make it better besides the basics?

  1. depends on how poor you are.

    ketchup packets.

    , movin up? add hot dogs cut up.

    gettin better? ground hamburger.  

    or, can of tuna and some pees.

    spam is always an option too..



    if plain i do add extra butter.. and fresh cracked pepper , and sea salt instead of regular..

    Frozen/Thawed mixed veggies

    Salsa

    Hot dogs

    Chunks of cubed chedder or mozzerella

    Baby shrimp

    Imitation crab

    Sliced cooked sasages (do them on the grill to add a little extra flavor)

  6. a tablespoon of sour cream, or crumbled bacon. diced tomatos or pimentos.

  7. HERE IS ONE WAY TO JAZZ IT UP. TAKE ONE POUND OF GROUND BEEF AND START TO BROWN IT ON MEDIUM HEAT.

    THAN SEASON YOUR MEAT WITH YOUR FAVORITE SEASONINGS. WHEN IT'S DONE STIR THE MEAT INTO THE MAC AND CHEESE THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PREPARED AND KIDS

    SHOULD LIKE IT PRETTY .WELL. ENJOY....

  10. Cut up boneless skinless chicken breast in chunks; cook them in oil then drain add cooked broccoli. Cook your mac and cheese add chicken and broccoli. Bake 350 15 to 20 minutes. If you want you can get ritz cracker (crushed) and some italian spices and melted butter and put on top of your mac and cheese casserole.

  12. I fry up a half pound of burger with a packet of taco seasoning and a little can of chopped green chiles and add that to the finished mac & cheese.  I call it Homemade Hamburger Helper.

I used to add cut up cooked chicken, some broccoli, and a can of Campbell's cream of chicken soup....I'd bake 'til warm and top w/cheddar cheese....it was like a casserole.  But, you could also do it w/hamburger, peas, corn or some other veggie & cheese soup, tomato soup, or cream of mushroom...hope this helps
