ok so me and my girl went to buy plan b and she took it. she took the 2nd pill @ 11 pm, but then we had s*x at like 2am and after i came i just knocked out and we woke up and did it again at like 4 am but i forgot to tkae off my previous condom but it broke while i wus sleeping and i penetratred her like that. so my question is does plan b work as a semi-birth control pill? and would it be effective after? and also the sperm had been out in the air for a while, so what are the chances of her getting pregnant?

thanks

  1. This is not the point of Plan B! It is incase mistakes happen, it is not a preventative so you can be dumb about s*x.

  2. Plan B IS BIRTH CONTROL!  It's simply a higher dose of the same hormones as regular birth control.

It works by suppressing ovulation.  If she took it as directed, it should hopefully suppress her ovulation for this month.  If she doesn't release an egg, she cannot become pregnant.

From here on out, however, you should use a condom every single time until her period arrives as an added protection.  She may have already ovulated or ovulation may just be delayed and if that is the case, you need to use condoms to protect yourselves.

Plan B has an 89% effectiveness rate.  There's a slight chance that she could become pregnant but if you use condoms, you'll be better protected.

She should think about getting on a form of usual birth control - the pill, patch, ring, etc.  And until she does, use condoms EVERY SINGLE TIME!  It doesn't take that long to put on a condom.

    Peace,

    Jenn
