Plan of Iguala, it made everyone Mexican?

I heard that this plan made Native Americans Mexican, did that include tribes like the Apache and Navajo, and Hopi who lived in the area before it was taken by the USA? I also heard this plan made Africans Mexican? I need to know, for a project I am doing for an ancestry project, I have some Southwestern American Native in me, would that mean I have some Mexican heritage?

I think I have Navajo ancestry.

  1. You can legitimately claim a Mexican heritage if any of your ancestors lived in lands which were controlled by Mexico during the same time period.

However, the fact that a person lives in lands which were occupied by Mexico some time in the past does not mean that he is Mexican in any manner.
