  1. OMG!  I'd love to go to Seattle. I LOVE IT THERE.  Ok...think about this.  There are literally thousands and thousands of flights that go out every day.  The chances of anything going wrong is sooooo small.  You will be fine!!!!!!!!!  Just go and enjoy.  I was in Seattle last year, and the Space Needle is AWESOME...

Let a flight attendant know if you are really scared.  They will comfort you.

  2. its not that bad the first time i went on a plane i refused to eat had the shakes worried about terrorista and everything, on the plane we were sitting around nice people and a lady gave us gum because it helps our ears so i felt a bit more comfortable then taking off was like going on a ride u go around a bend then speed up and take off its fun, and then you just keep going up up in the sky and just listen to music, watch a movie etc then you land and its smooth just like takeoff. dw planes have had the least ammount of crashes compared to cars, trains etc they are very safe and i stopped worrying about stuf straight after take off, on the way home i didnt think about anything bad i was excited for my flight. i might be going on a plane alone from melbourne to LA then LA to somewhere in brazil end of next year all by myself, will be aweosme

  3. you wait for what seems like a very long time, then the plane goes up, and it feels pretty much like taking a hill on a coaster, you come down in stages but mostly gently (depending on pilot and wind) then there's a bump when you land, the engines get very noisy for a while, then you're done... except for the whole airport experience it's all right. And I can't imagine why anyone would hijack a plane to Seattle unless they want lots of coffee or lumber... you're probably safe.

  4. hey, i'm 15 and i've been across the country about 20 times in my life.

remember this- airplanes are soooo freaking safe. in terms of crashes, planes are tested hundreds of times for safety and most of the time the airplanes on autopilot.

in terms of terrorists- there is no way, none at all you'll be in danger. they wouldn't let me take my hello kitty lip gloss on board last time i flew- there's no wayyy they'll let anything dangerous through the radars. the security people stop any passengers who even look suspicious (they stopped and checked this one famous guy from some '80s ock band cuz he had a 'taliban-like' beard- lol!) the doors to the cockpit are nowadays made so sturdy- they can't be broken thru or hijacked. planes are equipped with straight jackets and tranquilizers in order to subdue someone who's out of control (and remember there are always enough buff men on board to tackle anyone who's getting into trouble).

over all, terrorist attacks really don't happen anymore- the media has completely hyped it up.

taking off and landing are both so much fun!! it's almost like being in an elevator with awesome scenery. just grip your seat tightly, and enjoy the ride! your ears might pop a bit!

bring an ipod and some books and have a great trip!!!
