Plane ticket purchases without a credit card......?

its cheaper to buy a plane ticket in advance i know, but i have no credit card at the moment. is there anything i can do without purchasing the ticket at the counter (i know its more expensive that way, and no guarantee of availability). thanks!

Go to a travel agency. They will accept cash or any type of payment.

If you know what airline you want to fly with and have determined that as the best ticket fare available, you can call the airline. Some airlines do have arrangemnets with certian banks where you can deposit a check toward purhcase of your ticket. I suggest you call the airline. It will definitely be very expensive to buy at the counter on the day of departure. Good luck.

Find a local travel agent that is willing to take cash..  They can process the entire transaction via GDS at any time, some just do not handle cash for security purposes.

you can go there and buy a ticket on that date or you could use some one credit card
