Plane trouble???

i have a used ps3 and i want to know can i take it as a carry-on item?if so, does it have to be in a luggage case or can i just bring the box?? I also heard the x-ray scan messes up the ps3 somehow, is this true????

Contact your airline company.  While consoles can be brought with you, it's really up to them whether or not it has to be checked or carry on. Plus there are weight issues to be concerned with and baggage limits so you could end up having to pay extra fees because of it.

As for x-rays, that is new to me.
