alright i hate flying and im always freeking out about flying, any tips about keeping occupied and keeping your mind off flying ?

  1. If it's a long flight you could take sleeping pills. I know someone that does this regularly on extended trips. Just make sure that you go with someone else or you might sleep through your destination.


  2. music.sleep.read.take ur laptop.take ur poryable dvd player.

  3. well first of all stop saying 'flying' so much. that will keep u thinking about flying.  then read a book or listen to music or watch one of the movies they put on. sleep, eat, close the window on your side...

  4. Best thing that'll keep your mind off is to sleep!

    YOu can have have puzzles, music, book etc with you as well.. but since u're still awake you will be thinking @ flying at the back of your mind..

    Other way is to brave the situation!

    I keep the windows open, think that its the opportunity i have got to see the amazing world that God has created and I wouldn't have a got a chance to see this from ground.. think of all the good thing you've in life.. Be thankful for that!

    Somehow thinking about the worst thing that can happen makes me stand up to the situation..

    I do that many times.. be it a flight, a job interview, a sickness, a driving test ;)

    You might find it strange , but  it seems to work wonders for me!

  5. Read a book, listen to music.

    Sleep during the flight.

    Close the window, or don't look at it.

    Draw a picture.

    Print stuff off the internet, like math problems or something to keep your mind thinking about the math, not the plane.

  6. There are many books about fear of flying. Check Amazon and similar sites, as well as your local book store. There are resources on the Internet to read too.

    Try to learn how planes stay in the air and that will help a lot.

    Don't take drugs of any kind - especially not sleeping pills, because you will be fighting the sleepiness as well as the fear.
