Planes in area at certain time?

Question

Does anyone know if there is a website that is available to the public that if you type in a date and a place, it will show u all the planes that were in the area at that time? I'm sure that the FAA has some list or map but does anyone know if its available to the public and what the URL is if so? Thx.

I'm not exactly sure what you want but you could try http://www.expedia.com

http://www.flightaware.com will show you what you're looking for.  Enter a US airport, and it will show you the flights in the vicinity.  The information is delayed 20 minutes for security reasons.
