  1. Not really.  The planets vary in density.  Returning to our plot of mean density with distance, we can now explain almost all of the qualitative features. The inner terrestrial planets have similar mean densities; none of them accreted much low density material, which was still vaporized in the hot inner Solar System.

As we move to Mars and the Asteriods, more volatile condensates like water were available, lowering the mean density. But these bodies were not able to grow large enough to gravitationally accrete any gasses. Jupiter and Saturn have low densities due to their high proportion of gas.

  2. i have wondered the same thing. for now i have decided it's all about life. the other planets are where they are so we can be here with the environment,..., that can sustain life. it may be hard to believe, but i think the entire galaxy's purpose is for our benefit. life is that amazing to me, and at the top is human beings and there love. their ability to create velcro( that is a huge thing to those in wheelchairs with braces) and create art you almost have to see to believe,...,...,

  3. No, the Earth is heading more along the lines of Venus with a runaway greenhouse effect.  But although the rocky planets have similar features, they don't turn into each other.  And no rocky planet will become a gas planet, or the other way around.

Didn't you ask this yesterday until a different name?

  4. I'm not sure that I understand your question.  But, we know all the planets in our solar system are not the same planet.  They have different sizes and masses and are composed of different elements.  Not to mention that we have sent probes to all planets, and have sent rovers to Mars.  I'm not sure how you can think all the planets are the same.  Please clarify
