Planet X a fact or fiction?

So , I have seen alot of videos and articles about planet X and how it going to destroy the Earth in 2012 .. Is it a fact or fiction ? and whats your source?

Personally i think its a hoax like the other predictions ( year 2000 ) etc.

FICTION

Planet X/Nibiru does not exist. If it did we would have found it by now. We have mapped the sky in the infrared several times in the last 25 years (including WMAP, IRAS etc), and it would show up. It is not there. We would have found it if it existed. So all the nonsense about the return of Nibiru/Planet X is just that – nonsense

There is no scientific evidence for the existence of Nibiru

Furthermore, at the distance it must be to hit us in a little over 4 years, it would be reflecting enough light from the sun to be detectable.

Thanx to previous question from Brant and answer from bikenbeer2000, we know how bright it should be by now – it would have a apparent magnitude of 7.4 – which would not be visible with the naked eye – but easily visible in a modest telescope and would have been spotted by amateur. If there was a conspiracy to keep it quiet – it would be out of the bag by now.

Ask someone where it is supposed to be, get a pair of binoculars and look for it.

The videos on YouTube that purport to have evidence are disingenuous to say the least. They put together pictures of other objects (e.g. Jupiter, comets even a dust shell around a distant red giant star) and try to scare people. There is no validity to their claims. They present NO EVIDENCE at all.

You're right, it's a hoax

Some planets had been named 'Planet X" ("X" like unknown or "X" like #10): Pluto, Eris, Sedna and may be some others.

Could one of these so called "Planet X" be Nibiru ?

No.

It can't be the Babylonian Nibiru wich is the name of Jupiter in Akkadian language

It can't be the Sintchin's "New Age" Nibiru

None of them has the 3600 years very elliptic orbit crossing Earth orbit according to Sitchin .

This special Planet X is fiction.

Also: All descriptions about it contain physical phenomena (for example large gravity, which can't be switched off and on), which should be visible already now, as it would be now maximal 11 AU away from Earth (calculated by the claimed orbit period)

The original Planet X was the predicted existence of a planet beyond Neptune, which gravity explains the trajectory behavior of Neptune. This planet was found and later named Pluto.

You can tell it's all bullsh*t by working it out. It's allegedly on a 3600 year orbit and due soon. At around 1600 BC we had Egypt, Babylonia, Greece, China and the Olmec civilisations.

Not one of these organised cultures took the time to record the event. No imagery, tablets, no historical record. Now, I'd take that as evidence that it's fiction. Others would say that's evidence that 'they' have wiped the event from history in just another conspiracy!

On the bright side, a lot of the bull is genuinely interesting to read and can be ingeniously inventive. The way these people cross-reference their points to include anthropology. NASA, religion, history, White House etc is paranoid genius. For some of them it's also a living...

You are right, it is a hoax like 2000.

I recently found out that Nibiru is supposed to be a brown dwarf. That was news to me, I thought it was just a normal planet but apparently I didn't read up on this insane 2012 banter. So I might as well say it is a planet because it isn't there any way. And a 3600 year orbit? Please, that's simply impossible. We would've detected it by now. It is pure *c**p*.

depends on what your'e talking of exactly....

if you mean nibiru and the myth there's a planet/star/black hole out past the asteroid belt that is going to cause our destruction in 2012... no...

planet x was the designation given to the unseen planet calculated by watching neptunes wobbling.... it was this method that led to neptune's discovery to begin with (by watching uranus' wobbling), so the math obviously works... and neptune was just as big as they had calculated...

then some time later pluto was found and everyone thought they found planet x... but pluto is far too small for the calculations that were made... in a sense, planet x is still yet undiscovered.....  although after all this time it's been wondered as whether someone messed up witht he math, mis-interpreted things or any number of reasons of why we still have yet to find another massive planet beyond neptune.
