Planets in the first house

Question

Does it indicate anything if there are many planets in the first house (e.g. 4)? Does it indicate anything if there are none at all?

The 1st House is the most important House in the chart as it is the House that contains your Ascendant and determines your personality. All planets found in the 1st House get emphasized in the personality - pretty much like turning on the volume on the stereo; it becomes louder so it gets your attention.This is esp. true if the planets are very close to or conjunct the Ascendant.

When a large number of planets are found here, the personality certainly becomes more self-expressive and the moods are more affected by the interaction with others. The view of the world is pretty much colored by your own personal experiences and subjectivity. This also depends on what planets are found there. The more energetic outgoing ones would make you more assertive, enthusiastic and vocal.

If there are no planets found here, it doesnt mean you are inexpressive. Ii just means that those traits dont get emphasized so much and hence becomes less obvious to others around you.

the more planets are in the first house, that just means the more subjective you will be. it will be hard for you to relate with other people because you are so intuned with yourself, and it will make it so your personality and your looks are very important in your life.

a packed 1st house can indicate that you are in charge of yourself. If there are no planets in there at all look to your rising sign to determine your personality.
