  4. I was in Italy flyng to London.  And they did not allow an umbrella.

  8. I don't see why not? You are pretty much allowed to take what you want on the plane long as it goes through the scanner thing. =]

  9. They might want you to give it to a flight attendant to store in a closet on board, but I'm sure they'll let you have it when you start your descent.

  11. Trust me ... you can not float down out of the heavens like Mark Poppins; umbrella or not, so do not try.

  12. yup. I had a folding one in my carry on bag last week, and didn't have any problems carrying it through canadian security, american pre-departure security, or departing the usa.
