Planing a week long trip to Virginia ...?

My family (kids ages 7-17) are planning a week long trip to Virginia, what places should we go to, i know VA has mountains, trails, and caves but which ones do you suggest.

i lived in virginia for 22 years and the only place that i would think about going is up in the mountains because its quite beautiful and lot of fresh air and jamestown is good to cause you can learn bout back in the day when pocahantas lived here very interesting. Williamsburg is good to because they have busch gardens theme park and richmond has kings dominion theme park. i live in hampton and hampton and to me hampton is a bad place to many things happen here and i cant stand it. Every couple of hours or durin the night sirens.

But jamestown and the mountains and richmond and williamsburg is a great place.

That area is beautiful! I don't know which part of Virginia you are considering, but there is always the historic triangle of Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown. There are a lot of outdoor activities in that area as well, so you could get the best of both.
