We're into sightseeing of the local cultures/lives such as how locals live in their city/ tribes villages and sceneries of their padi fields/floating markets. Basically, we want to see Viets' way of living. Also, any Halal (Muslim) food avail? Touristy stuff would be Halong Bay & other recommendations we need.

  1. no muslim food in vietnam...

  2. You can go to Delta Mekong. There are many float markets in Can Tho, Dong thap, An Giang. But these areas are far away from Halong Bay. I know one muslim village where close to Chau Doc, AnGiang. I don't think they sell food there.

    Have a good trip.

  3. thats realy a short time; 1st if you want to know vn culture, be up and out on the street at 4:30 am! thats when you will see the real vn..[ you can go back to bed later ]. if you are landing in sai gon. take a day train to nha trang, you can get a good overview of the country like that. in nha trang find a good moto bike driver [ easy to do ;go to "nguyen thien thuat" street across from the dong phuong hotel you'll find good drivers having coffee there] have the driver take you to local countryside and maybe a "city tour"

if you land in ha noi stay around ha noi, maybe an overnight to "mai chau valley" or a day trip to the "pink/ purple pagoda"... that should be in full swing in march..

you real need more time.. but get up early! thats a must wherever you are...and dont be afraid to walk the tiny back alleys and smaller markets....

muslim food??? i dont know what that is.. there is a muslim temple in sai gon near the "cho lon"district...

oh yeah , be carefull eating" street food".. you dont have time to be getting sick....
