  1. 3 days is not a long time to see much of Switzerland, so you should try to make the most of it.

I would suggest that on your return journey, you could perhaps take a scenic train which travels from Interlaken to Montreux. This train has panoramic windows that you pay a little extra for, but you get wide views. You could stay a night in Montreaux or nearby Vevey, and visit Chateau Chillon...then go back to Geneva (or vice versa).

It's called the Golden Pass Line.

See the various links below which have details of other scenic train routes, timetables and Chateux Chillon etc.

Hope you have a wonderful time!

  2. Pls consult the Tourist Office, they will surely make the best suggestions for a max. of enjoyment.

  3. three days isnt too bad if you can rent a car and travel on your own. we done that - for four days only! - and ended up very happy.

i'd not bother going to Zurich, its just a big city (far from Geneva anyways). but Bern was great. Basel, Luzern were good as well. i personally enjoyed a trip to Interlaken and Gizwil. the countrysite.

this time of year skiing is probably fantastic if you're into this type of thing.

depends on your personal preferences, of course. but added mobility of having your own transportation makes a huge difference.

    have fun!
