Planning a Hens Night?

My cousin is getting married in a few months. She has 5 bridesmaid and we are trying to work out what to do for her hens night. We dont want it to cost people too much money and strippers are out of the question. Does anyone have any ideas for something a little different.

Thanks Heaps

  1. Hen's night? Is that another name for bacholerette party? I have not heard of it before...???

Okay...googled it...it is the same...I am in a wedding and we are also trying to plan a lower cost party. Strippers are also not on this bride-to-be's wish list. I think we are going to go out for dinner then to a club for dancing.

    Good Luck and have fun

  2. for mine we going clubbing and to a g*y bar, there so fun for a hens night you get spoiled and the men are usually as good as a stripper ha ha and they wont try hit on you.. :)

then the night after we staying in the motel and recovering with make overs and mud masks and spa oo oo

i too am from australia so i new just what you ment:)

have a bloody ball, i no im going to :) he he

  3. I live in perth and we have a place where you can have a harem party, and learn to bellydance, dress up in bellydance outfits, I think they even have henna art type stuff too...very eastern and heaps of fun...I am sure they have these types of places all over the place.  Not expensive, not tacking either.

  4. All dress up with headbands and feathers.

You are all the mother chook's. So you look after the chooken ==> the one who is getting married.

You could have a riddler come and he would ask questions about marriage.

Pulling them out of a question hat.

She has to answer. First she has to listen to all the chooks/hens.

As she answers more and more each hen that gives good advice gets a feather. You can have bad hens but they are just there to test her.

You could add Bible verses about marriage if you like.:::---))) Or just moral questions based on the Bible.::--))

Or just good moral questions :-)

  5. Hi

Maybe start off at a house with eats, drinks and games. The gathering can be BYO or one off charge of x amount $'s within the affordability of everyone attending. Then you could progress to one or two clubs or do a club crawl (avoid the cover charges) and enjoy the night. Hire a mini bus if a lot going or maybe some brothers etc can car pool all of you to cut costs down?

    Cya

    :)

  6. Haha I knew exactly wot a hens night was too. how about having a casual cocktail party get everyone to add in a set price for the night ie $20 for the night for the alcohol and then getting a whole stack of different cocktails you can make find the recipes online and just have a fun night making all different ones.

  7. hey!

i agree with you, even though people say strippers are fun. i cant see anything worse!

it depends what the bride is into.

you could bring back old memories- fav song? have a big dance party.

if she was a dancer all ear tutus.

just bring back all the happy memories of her life :) and make it fun and a little immature :)

  8. What about a "naughty ladies party"? This is a great way to buy lots of fun stuff for the bride to be. Of course, drinking is very helpful at these parties. You could then finish by hitting the clubs!!

  9. Hey there fellow Aussie... I too am planning a Hens Night for November.

Firstly, we ARE having a stripper at our party. I know alot of people aren't into that kind of thing but I guess it was a funny thing to organise because the bride will go red from embarrassment!

We are holding the party at the Brides home, with a BBQ and finger food provided. We are going to be getting some cocktail mixers but apart from these, its going to be BYO grog. That way the bridal party wont be stuck paying for people to get drunk.

We are making the theme "naughty" so we are all dressing up as schoolgirls, kinky cops, naughty nurses etc.

We will also be doing a bit of karaoke, and having other games with prizes.

Some of the games we are playing are-

"How well do you know the bride?"

Search it on ebay and you will find the actual game on there.

Then we are doing "Pin the Macho on the man"- also on ebay!

Truth or Dare - with dare cards from ebay!

The Toilet paper dressmaking competition. Where the bridal party gets to be models and the guests get to make wedding dresses from dunny paper and other things like garbage bin liners, tinsel and tampons.

Then we will do "pass the naughty parcel", which works like normal pass the parcel but it will be filled with all kinds of naughty goodies ranging from edible undies to condoms to blindfolds.
