Planning to go to Atlantis but I am weary on the weather conditions on the island during that time. I know Hurricane season is sometime around June-Sept. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Very hot!!! You may get occasional rain because it's hurricane season!!!! Bring lots of sunscreen cause believe me you're gonna need it!!

  2. They say Hurricane season is around that time, but that does not mean gauranteed Hurricane. I went in March and they said it was the rainy season and it rained only once for about a half a second. The weather is HOTTTT!!! But it wont be humid, its a beautfiul tropical heat. Atlantis is GORGEOUS!!! You will have a blast!

  3. The weather is unpredictable.

I was in Nassau/Paradise Island in August. It was hot and humid. But ohhh the ocean was wonderful.

There is so much to do at Atlantis, a little rain won't be a deterrent.

If a hurricane is brewing, the weather people forecast as soon as they come off Africa. You will have plenty of warning. Purchase travel insurance that covers weather as a backup plan.

Traditionally, the worst months for tropical storms is September  and October.  (hurricane season June 1-Nov 30th)

    Go and enjoy)

  4. In addition to what others have mentioned, the weather will most likely be showery on and off, much like Florida. You might want to have an umbrella somewhere as the rain starts suddenly and then is over before you know it.

  5. Hot.

Hurricane season peaks around Labor Day. Odds are it will either be great weather but it could suck if you catch a storm.

  6. I live in Florida, so I'm pretty sure the weather's the same. It's incredibly humid here, all the time, and it rains a lot. It's usually very, very hot, but as I said before, it's the humid kind of heat. There's sometimes light breezes and all which are very nice. I hope this helps!

  7. I was having the same problem booking my trip to Jamaica.  I asked my travel agent and she said typical Hurricane season is from August to Mid October.  I chose to go away mid November!  Weather is tricky.  You might experience some bad stuff or it could be awesome when you go.  No one can predict what it will be like then.  It's up to you on if you want to risk it or not.
