Question:

Planning a dinner for Mother's Day - Trini Style?

I suggested that they all go out to a resturant - but its about ten to twelve persons and I want an ideal resturant that can at least cater to most of their needs

Bearing in mind that some are in their forties, thirties, and early twenties (kinda like two generations mixed up - mom and daughter / daughter-in-laws / neices / Aunts / Sisters

Two or three are staunch Pentecostals (so ah cyar take them to a place that may offend their religion) Some are reserved and laid back others want to have fun!!!

I can only think of Jennys! But I don't think the atmosphere is right. Of course I want a fairly reasonable resturant! Not too expensive, but not too cheap!

Most of them are from Diego Martin - so please suggest places that are nearby!

THANKS

I was thinking bout Benihana the Japanese rest. up in Trincity Mall, never had the food but the setting looks good.

    Good luck and have fun

  2. I in de same sitution. I decide i going tuh have meh own ting home. Ah going tuh decorate de place, nice music, cook some food, invite meh ppl, dress up and enjoy meh self.

Laugh how hard ah want, talk how loud, dance anyhow, stay how late.

Beside tuh be honest is quite Rio ah from. lol

  3. gurl, dont even think about Tam-nak-Thai (spelling?)  you could pay $400 ah person, to eat dey. and ah talking ah simple meal, nothing extravagant

  4. my idea is instead of spending twice as much to take them out to dinner why don't you and like sisters make a nice home made lunch for them that's what i'm going to do and invite everyone over and order a nice mother's day cake

when everyone is full sit relax and talk about good times spending quality time together at home with family what's better than that

  5. but i wish i was your familee!!!!

what about TGIF around the savannah, good food great service. im sorry but i dont know much restuarants in that area..

if u all do deside to venture out further, Valpark Chinese is nice & also affordable.

u see how Julien say Benihana, ah hear dem real expensive & the food is no big thing.

there is also Botecelli's (sp?) in grand bazaar i hear they are very nice.

    have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    eat fuh meh.

  6.
